Note: This is applicable to Philippine passport holders (and other countries participating in the AVE program) with valid B2 US Visa.
Philippine Passport holders must complete the long list of requirements, submit the visa application to the Embassy of Argentina in Makati, pay the hefty fee and go back to give the deposit slip then wait for the interview schedule. But good news for those with valid B2 US visa, things are now a lot easier! Effective 12-Feb, 2019, The Philippines has been included on Argentina’s AVE system (Autorización de Viaje Electrónica or Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) commonly known as E-Visa):
I had an upcoming trip to South America when I saw the news. Argentina wasn’t originally part of the plan until I run out of time applying for Chilean visa (I’ll share my story with this on a different post). Clock was ticking and it was exactly one week left before my trip, so I decided to give this AVE thing a shot.
I searched for the website to know how. It wasn’t really user-friendly at the time of my application. I found several links that were either broken or down. It took me more than a week to finally submit my application! When I got back from my trip, I recreated the process and it appears so easy with everything working. So, here it is..
Visit the link below. You may need to translate the page to English.

Step 1: Create an account
You must create an account before anything else. Select “Enter here to pay the respective rate” from http://www.migraciones.gov.ar/ave/index.htm
Click sign up or the AVE box shown below:

Or you may go directly to https://dnm.provincianet.com.ar/Login/IndexRegister.
Fill out all the fields (I left Other Telephone field blank) and click Sign Up.

You will receive an email from Dirección Nacional de Migraciones (DNM) with your login credentials.
Step 2: Make a payment
I’m not sure if after creating an account you can go straight with the payment because in my case it was a dead end. I had to wait until the links started working.
Anyhow, go back to https://dnm.provincianet.com.ar/Login/IndexRegister
Now that you have an account, enter the username and password that you just created and hit Login.
It should take you to the Travel Authorization page. Fill out all the fields and click Pay:

You will be directed to the page with your information so better review it before you Pay ARS 3000.00 (USD 50). Credit card is the only option (American Express, Mastercard, Visa).

After payment, you will receive a Travel Authorization email from DNM.
This is not the AVE/ETA/E-Visa yet and it does not guarantee entrance to the Argentine Republic. It looks like a receipt:

I have no idea what Permission Due Date means.
Step 3: Fill out the form
Before you do so, have your passport and valid B2 US visa in pdf format ready.
To access the form, go to https://www.dnm.gov.ar/avevisa/login
Enter your Passport Number and Transaction ID (this is the Sticker # on the receipt from the email):

Just like any other visa application, it will ask you for your personal information and the details of your trip. I was already on the road when I got to fill this out so I wasn’t able to capture everything (I was literally cramming when I found that the link was already working). Sorry! There are 5 steps and these are some of them:

I’m not sure if this also applies to those with valid Schengen Visa. Although it is stated on the AVE page, it was not on the news (for the Philippines) so you may want to check before you apply.
From the Summary part, you will see the progress of your application. In case you don’t have your scanned visa/passport handy, you can save the form and go back later to complete it.
Once you’re done, the waiting game begins!
The result will be sent via email by AVE (not the previous DNM). If approved, the AVE/ETA/E-Visa is attached to the email. It looks like this:

It is valid for 90 days and starts on the day it was approved. In my case, the process took 2 weeks which may not be the same for everyone so plan your trip and application accordingly.
Below is the timeline of my application:
Aug-06: Created an account
Aug-12: I have tried every day since I created my account but the links for payment and application form were broken so I sent an email asking how I can apply but I just received an automated response
Aug-17: Finally, the links started working so I made the payment and submitted my application
Sep-02: I received an email with my AVE/ETA/E-Visa!
3 days later lol, I entered Argentina by land (via Iguaçu Falls). I gave the officer my current passport with valid B2 US visa (if yours is stamped in an expired passport, you must bring both), and printed copies of the payment receipt and AVE/ETA/E-Visa. The officer only asked where I would be staying and voila.. Hello Argentina! 🥳
Hope this helps. Please make sure to check the updated information online before you apply.
